NCMC Aligns with racecar driver Ricky Byers

For Immediate Release

Aug. 24, 2009

New Century Marketing Concepts has aligned itself with Ricky Byers for publicity planning and sponsor search in his bid to compete in the 2010 ARCA Re/Max Series Championship.  Robert Villegas, CEO of NCMC, says “We think Ricky has a compelling story in which people will be interested.  As a two-time cancer survivor his message is one of hope and perseverance and we are delighted to be working with him.“

As a racer for over twenty years, Ricky Byers has had track championships at Talladega Short Track, Wilsonville, Green Valley and Phoenix City, Alabama.  He ran for over five years with no less than a fifth place finish.  His best accomplishment, however, is how he has beaten squamous cell carcinoma cancer—twice. Ricky was part of the Lance Armstrong Foundation Tour of Hope, which helps others diagnosed with cancer.  As part of the Lance Armstrong Tour of Hope, Ricky has taken been part of locating treatment and financial support for cancer victims. Beating the odds and winning races has been Ricky’s lifelong accomplishments.  His dream is to be a role model for other cancer survivors proving that when there is hope there is also accomplishment.  That’s why Ricky plans to be the only cancer survivor racing in the ARCA Re/Max Series.

NCMC and Ricky Byers are looking forward to a winning relationship both on and off the track, beating the odds and winning races.
